VMV Living is a trade name of VMV UNO LLC. We rent single-family homes in Peoria, Illinois. This policy explains what we collect through vmvliving.com, why we collect it, and what we do and do not do with it.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us. There is no account to create and we do not use advertising or analytics trackers.

Through our contact form

  • Your name
  • Your phone number and email address
  • Which home you are asking about, and when you would like to move in
  • Household size and a monthly income range
  • Whether you have a Housing Choice Voucher
  • Your previous landlord's name and phone number, if you give them
  • Anything else you write in the message box
  • Whether you ticked the optional SMS consent box

Automatically

When you submit the form we record the date and time, the page you submitted from, and your IP address. We keep these with your SMS consent choice so we can show what you agreed to and when. Our web host also keeps standard server logs. A small cookie remembers whether you are reading the site in English or Spanish; it holds nothing else.

How we use it

  • To reply to your inquiry and answer your questions
  • To arrange and confirm a showing
  • To process a rental application, including verifying income and contacting a previous landlord you have given us
  • To send you text messages, if you separately agreed to that
  • To keep a record of your SMS consent choice

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

Who we share it with

We share your information only where it is needed to do what you have asked us to do. In practice that means the provider that delivers our text messages, if you asked us to text you, and a previous landlord you gave us as a reference, if you apply and we contact them. If you go on to submit a rental application, you do that on our rental platform's own website and give your details to them directly — we do not pass your information to them. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal information.

SMS data will not be shared with anyone except our texting service provider. Mobile information and SMS opt-in and consent data are never sold, rented, or shared with any third party or affiliate for any purpose, including marketing or promotional purposes. Nothing elsewhere in this policy overrides this.

Text messages

If you tick the optional consent box on our contact form, we may text you about the rental inquiry you made — answering your questions, arranging or confirming a showing, and telling you where your application stands.

If you become a tenant and separately agree, we may also text you about lease and account matters and to coordinate maintenance.

These are conversations with a person, not automated marketing. We do not send promotional campaigns, vacancy announcements, or bulk messages.

  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. You may receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed.

SMS consent is optional. It is not required to inquire about a home, to apply, or to rent from us, and we will not treat you differently if you decline. Giving us a phone number on its own is not consent to be texted — only ticking the box is.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiries while we are dealing with them and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we can answer questions about what was discussed. We keep SMS consent records, including any withdrawal of consent, for as long as we need them to show that consent was given or withdrawn. You can ask us to delete your information and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.

How we protect it

The site is served over an encrypted connection. Inquiry records are stored outside the publicly reachable part of our website, and the part of the site where listings are managed is password protected. We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no website or email system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@vmvliving.com or call (309) 431-2875. You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
